The French Quarter
The French Quarter, also known as Vieux Carré, is the most famous and popular neighborhood for tourists in New Orleans. Located on the Mississippi River, the French Quarter is known for its vibrant nightlife, jazz clubs, beignets at Cafe du Monde, cast-iron balconies, and late-night revelry on Bourbon Street.
The French Quarter is the oldest neighborhood in the city, founded in 1718 by the French. Much of the original architecture still stands over 300 years later including the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral. When renting a charter bus for a French Quarter tour, make sure to see Jackson Square, the French Market, Preservation Hall and the many art galleries and antique shops on Royal Street.
Charter Bus Company New Orleans can provide easy transportation to popular French Quarter hotels like Hotel Monteleone, Bourbon Orleans and Dauphine Orleans. We’ll drop your group off right on Bourbon Street or pick you up on nearby Canal Street. On Mardi Gras and other major events, driving and parking in the French Quarter is restricted so a charter bus rental is the easiest way to get around.
The Garden District
Just uptown from the French Quarter lies the prestigious Garden District, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in New Orleans. The Garden District is known for its historic mansions, expansive gardens and elegant architecture.
The neighborhood was originally developed as a residential hub for the city’s Anglo-Saxon elite in the mid-1800s. Take a stroll down tree-lined streets like St. Charles Avenue to admire the historic homes and charming gardens. The Garden District is also home to several cemeteries like the historic Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 which your group can tour.

Some of the top attractions in the Arts District include the New Orleans Museum of Art,Contemporary Arts Center and the National World War II Museum. The beautiful mansions along St. Charles Avenue also fall within the Arts District.

The thoroughfare is home to over 20 art galleries all clustered together in the Warehouse Arts District. We can easily transport your group between the arts museums and galleries for a day immersed in culture.
Faubourg Marigny
Just downriver from the French Quarter is Faubourg Marigny, one of New Orleans’ funkiest and most colorful neighborhoods. Located between Esplanade Avenue and the Industrial Canal, Marigny has a creative, bohemian vibe with a hip bar scene and vibrant local art.
Marigny is considered New Orleans’ music hub thanks to its many intimate music venues and Frenchman Street’s reputation for live jazz. Beyond the jazz joints, Marigny has a thriving arts scene with galleries like The Saint Claude Arts District. The neighborhood also holds the distinction for being one of the earliest gay enclaves in the city.
A charter bus is the perfect transportation for groups with plans to bar and club hop around Frenchman Street into the night. We’ll provide easy pickups in the crowded Marigny and drop offs at your hotel in the French Quarter or CBD.
The Warehouse District
Bordering the French Quarter and Arts District, the Warehouse District has transformed over the years from its origins as a hub for riverfront industry and manufacturing. Today, the Warehouse District is one of New Orleans’ premier entertainment and shopping destinations.
By day, stroll the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk for discount shopping at stores like Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. At night, catch a show at the Saenger Theatre or visit restaurants like Cochon Butcher. The National World War II Museum is also located on the edge of the Warehouse District.
With so many dining and entertainment options, a charter bus rental is recommended for easy transportation around the expansive Warehouse District neighborhood. We’ll handle parking and provide pickup and drop offs wherever your group would like to go in the neighborhood.
Bywater & St. Roch Neighborhoods
Just downriver from the Marigny are the Bywater and St. Roch neighborhoods. These communities represent some of the most authentic pockets of New Orleans from a historical and cultural perspective.
Bywater is known locally for its brightly colored shotgun-style houses while St. Roch was historically home to one of the city’s earliest Creole suburbs. Both neighborhoods were heavily impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Today, Bywater has experienced gentrification with art galleries, cafes, bakeries and small shops attracting both locals and tourists.
See another side of New Orleans by having your charter bus explore Bywater, St. Roch and neighboring St. Claude. We’re happy to transport your group to any businesses or historical sites you’d like to visit in these lesser-known but quintessentially New Orleans neighborhoods.
City Park & Bayou St. John

Adjacent to City Park, Bayou St. John offers kayaking opportunities and casual restaurants like Parkway Bakery & Tavern. Historic architecture lines both sides of the Bayou including the Spanish Custom House built in 1784.
